Sony made an announcement via the PlayStation Blog. Limited edition of PS5 and themed Dualsense Marvel’s Spider-Man 2will be available from:1 September. If you already own the console, you’ll be happy to know that covers with the same patterns are on the way.
The announcement came with a brand new story trailer unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Pack will include a PS5 and a digital replica of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with a Dualsense and iconic wall crawler symbol, characterized by a black and red color that symbolizes the contrast between Venom and Spider-man.
Jacinda Chew, senior art director at Insomniac Games, explained the console and controller design, saying: “The design was inspired by the game’s symbiote taking over the console and controller, but you can still see a bit of red. This represents how players will experience how the symbiote will try to take control in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in various ways. This represents the resultant and ambiguous design, whether it’s internal or an external console pull and controller,” he said.
Pre-orders start next week
In addition to being included in the package, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 themed dualsense will also be marketed separately. Also, as mentioned at the beginning, it will be possible to purchase replacement covers for PS5, both Standard and Digital, with exactly the same theme as the limited edition console.
THEM pre-orders on the portal will start from 28 July 2023 Direct Playstation and at selected dealers. The launch will take place on September 1, 2023, well before the release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which we remember is set for October 20, 2023.
