This Strong National Museum of Play decided to introduce some new titles within its body. World Video Game Hall of Famecollecting and exhibiting some historical games of the gaming industry.

The ones to choose in this case were Wii Sports, The Last of Us, Barbie Fashion Designer and Computer Space. The first two are well known to everyone: the first is the famous multi-event sports game that has become a real mass phenomenon, first of all thanks to its inclusion in a package with the Nintendo Wii.

The other is the famous first installment of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic action-adventure series. In addition, we find the Barbie Fashion Designer, in a rather odd selection, but probably associated with the character/toy’s celebrity and its implications in the video game space and Computer Space.

The latter is considered the “first commercial video game” to be released in 1971 and therefore represents perhaps the first product of this genre to be offered for sale in a very specific form.

Each year, Strong Museum expands its hall of fame with new games; The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Bros. and Tetris is introduced in the previous year’s edition. The museum in question is located in Rochester, New York.
