Hours of work will begin 00:00 Italian Wednesday, August 16, 2023 and from that moment it will be possible to start downloading the 4.0 update. Except for unforeseen events, the maintenance should last for 5 hours, so it will be possible to come back to the game and try new content from the early morning hours.

Pre-installation already available on PC and mobile devices
PC and mobile players can start playing immediately pre-installation Genshin Impact update 4.0 files to speed up times when available. On iOS and Android you can do this directly from the game’s home screen or resource settings. But on PC, just click on the corresponding option on the main page of the Launcher before launching the application.
PS5 and PS4 do not support pre-install functions for updates, so users playing on these platforms will need to download the full update when it becomes available.
