Staten commented on the news on Twitter, saying: “Hi guys, I’m really leaving Microsoft. I’ll be getting more soon. information But for now, I want to thank my colleagues at Xbox for their understanding and support as we embark on a new adventure.”
Staten is one of the best-known names to have worked on the Halo franchise, given his roles in the beloved Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3. bungie.
He eventually left Bungie to join Microsoft, working as a senior creative director. It was originally named for the entire series, not Halo Infinite. Xbox Publishing. But he was brought in to oversee Halo Infinite in 2020, so he returned to Xbox Publishing earlier this year. We’ll see what it does in the future.
